Fix to rdist(1C) for systems running 4.0 through 4.0.4 (fixed in 4.0.5).
1) retrieve the appropriate binary in ftp "binary" mode
get rdist.Z
2) run uncompress on it
3) save the existing /usr/bsd/rdist, and change the permissions to mode 400.
4) move this new binary to /usr/bsd/rdist
5) set the following modes, owner & group IDs:
chown root.sys /usr/bsd/rdist
chmod 4555 /usr/bsd/rdist
'ls -lF' output:
-r-sr-xr-x 1 root sys /usr/bsd/rdist*
