In this directory you will find several files. Please read all of them
carefully before installing the patch set on your system:

caveats			: This file will explain the caveats
			  for this patch set. (This file may not be present
                          in all patch sets).
installation_instructions: Explains how to extract the tar file and install the
			  patch set

inst.README		: Additional information regarding inst.init file,
			  a script that is used by swmgr for easier 
			  installation. Only available for IRIX 6.2
			  or above.


                            General Information

Silicon Graphics is committed to making all of its systems stable. For this
reason, we are making available to you at no charge by FTP and on the web
required patch sets for high-end systems, and recommended patch sets for
low-end systems.

Prior to starting the download, please ensure that you have sufficient disk
space to download the desired patch set. Note that the largest patch set may
require well over 150Mbytes of free disk space in the location to which it
is downloaded. If you need to extract the tar files into individual files,
you will need free space approximately twice the size of the patch set tar
file in order to extract the individual patches. Please install these
patches as a set, and do not selectively install individual patches from
these sets.

If you have problems with or questions about any of these patches and you
have a support contract with Silicon Graphics, you may contact your local SG
support provider for assistance under the terms of your support contract. If
you do not have a support contract with SG, you may open a time and
materials call with your local SG support provider. If you have a support
contract with a third party, you should contact your support provider, or
open a time and materials call with your local SGI support provider. If you

Terms of Use. Silicon Graphics, Inc. ("SGI") hereby grants to you permission
to download, install and use operating system software patches ("Patches")
delivered from this World Wide Web site, solely for use with an SGI
operating system, and provided that you agree to these terms, conditions and
disclaimer of liability. You may not sublicense, distribute or otherwise
convey any Patch or any portion thereof to anyone without prior written
approval. You agree that you will not reverse assemble, decompile or
disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer any portion of the Patches,
provided, however, that if you use the Patches in a country of the European
Community, nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to restrict any
rights available to you under EC Council Software Directive (14 May, 1991)
on the legal protection of computer programs.

Export. You may not export or reexport any Patch except in full compliance
with all United States laws and regulations, executive orders and the like.
In particular, no Patch or portion thereof may be exported or reexported
into (or to a national or resident of) any country to which the U.S.
embargoes goods, or to anyone on the U.S. Treasury Department's list of
Specially Designated Nationals or the U.S. Commerce Department's Table of
Denial Orders.

U.S. Government Users: If you are acquiring Patches on behalf of an entity
of the government of the United States of America, the following provision
applies: U. S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS LEGEND. Use, duplication or
disclosure of Software by the Government is subject to restrictions as set
forth in FAR 52.227-19(c)(2) or subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in
Technical Data and Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 and/or in
similar or successor clauses in the FAR, or the DOD or NASA FAR Supplement.
