	xdbx.tar
A tar archive containing the necessary images to install
executable copies of xdbx on an SGI workstation running
	    IRIX 5.2+.

Description:

xdbx provides a simple X based GUI for dbx.

Below are comments from Po Cheung (the xdbx original author) and
Kevin Dalley (person who provided the SGI patches) The source
code is included as part of the installable image.

Just to be explict, the authors to do work for SGI. I simply
compiled the code and packaged it up in an installable format.

Instructions:

	Copy xdbx.tar to /usr/tmp.

	    % su
	    # mkdir /usr/local/dist
	    # cd /usr/local/dist
	    # tar xvf /usr/tmp/xdbx.tar
	    # inst -f /usr/local/dist

Then follow the instructions from inst. To find out more about
inst, consult the inst(1M) man page.

The inst images of "xdbx" in /usr/local/dist can be used by
networked machines to install from. On the remote machine:

	    % su
	    # inst -f guest@"machine with images":/usr/local/dist

Then follow the instructions from inst again.

Here's a few patches. A few of the files were borrowed from mxgdb,
which was originally a spin-off of xdbx. Turnabout is fair play.
Many of the patches are purely to port to the sgi, many other patches
are general xdbx bug fixes and should probably be applied to all
versions of xdbx. This should be applied to version xdbx-2.1,
    patchlevel 2. I've had these for a while. I figure it's
    about time to post them.

    Anyway, here's the patches:
