Instructions for scr2vid screen capture

The scr2vid screen capture program captures data from the frame buffer of your 320 or 540 system and sends it to the video output jack.

To start the capture process, click the left mouse button in the scr2vid window. To end the capture process, click the right mouse button in the scr2vid window. While the screen capture is processing data, no input but the right mouse click will be accepted.

Use the following keyboard commands to move the capture box around the screen.

The Options menu provides the following selections.

The Timing menu allow the user to select the video output timing from square or nonsquare pixel, NTSC or PAL standard.

The Video menu allow the user to select an output jack. On the 320 system, the output goes to both the S-Video and composite jacks.

For best results, set the graphics display rate to the rate of the video output. That is, set the graphics display rate to 60 Hz when generating NTSC video, and 50 Hz when generating PAL video. You can also try to framelock the graphics screen to the video output signal using the video control panel option for File->Graphics Display Framelock. I have had mixed results.
