BUZZ OFF - (C)1984 ELECTRIC SOFTWARE

Bertie the bee has a sweet tooth - he just loves fruit! So much
so that he's even prepared to brave the perils of the Enchanted
Orchard. The only trouble is when Bertie's on a binge he forgets
to look where he's going. Just to make matters worse, every time
he eats a fruit, a segment of spider's web takes it's place.
Help Bertie by guiding him around the web and away from the edge
of the screen. Munch enough fruit and Bertie is allowed into the
Spider's Larder, with its legendary Golden Fruit. He also wins
second helpings in the orchard.

Can You give Bertie a ten course banquet?

After loading the game, your TV or monitor displays the Electric

cassette box. If you now wish to play BUZZ OFF!, press any key
or move the joystick. The screen will then ask if you wish to
play the game using joystick or cursor keys. Respond by pressing
a key or moving the joystick. You now have a choice of 10 game
levels. The current game selection is indicated by a cursor box
around the level number. You may move the box to change the game
level by using the cursor keys or joystick, as selected. When
the correct level is displayed, the game may be started by
pressing the space bar (if keyboard is selected) or fire button
(if joystick selected).

with more web segments present at the start. Any replays
awarded on games 0 to 8 operate at the same levels as the
previous round. Game 9 is the true version of BUZZ OFF! This
option allows the player to progress from level 0 up to level 8
by achieving replays at each round.

HOW TO PLAY BUZZ OFF!
---------------------
Control Bertie's movements to make him eat the fruit and avoid
crashing. Bertie will fly up, down, left and right, but npt
diagonally. Also remember that Bertie continues to fly in a
straight line until you change his direction. To eat the fruit
Bertie's head must pass through it. Bertie will crash if he
hits his head on the web, the spider or the edge of the screen.

A bonus event occurs when the replay score is reached. The
Spider's Breakfast, a catarpiller wrapped in a coccoon of web,
rolls across the orchard floor. Bertie can release the
caterpillar by hitting it with his head. If he succeeds he then
has a chance to steel the Golden Fruit from the Spider. This
bonus event is repeated at random intervals after the replay
score has been exceeded.
